Erin & Derek's Honeymoon!

For mine and Derek's honeymoon we were lucky enough to go back to Thailand and Bali,
but not on a backpacker budget this time!
For our wedding, our amazing friends got us a gift certificate to a travel agent.
(truly the best gift EVER!)
We could only go for 3 weeks this time around, but it was such an amazing trip!
Here's a little sneak at when went on...
Click the pictures for a bigger view!

Waiting in the Chicago airport.
We flew Winnipeg-Chicago-Tokyo-Bangkok-Koh Samui.
It took us around 36 hours from our door to our hammocks on the beach.

Exhausted but excited, on the speed boat from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan!

Home sweet home for the next 5 nights!
Hut #3 at Seaflower Bungalows (the one we stayed in the night he proposed last year!)

Time to hit the beach!

Our scooter posse just got a whole lot bigger!
My brother Mike (bottom left) and my cousin Matt and his wife Kaylee (bottom right) were in Thailand too!
Kroeker family reunion-it was so fun!

It wouldn't be a true Kroeker reunion without my parents...
They were there too!
The only one missing was my sister who I went to Thailand with the first time around...

He fished, I swam.
Our friend Collete, who we met last year was there too!

We must have drank our weight in shakes!
Watermelon or lemon for this face!

The gardens at Seaflower are crazy!

With a drink in hand, and the cicada's coming to life,
we would watch the sunset every night from our porch or Heaven bar.

One of the owners of Seaflower- Chai wandering around looking for his ducks!

 We really were in Heaven.
It's almost impossible to leave a place like that behind.

 But we had to.
Before we knew it, the five of us were back in Koh Samui, waiting to fly back to Bangkok!

 One night in Bangkok?
Just enough time to grab some massaman curry and hit up the Chatuchak market.
I found this ring lady about 3 minutes before Kaylee and I were supposed to meet up with the boys...
good thing I'm an insanely fast shopper!
Then we left the others and flew to Kuala Lumpur and then to Bali!

We splurged for a night and stayed at the Komaneka Bisma in Ubud, Bali.
It was the most insanely perfect honeymoon spot I could have imagined!
We pretty much had the pools to ourselves, which looked over rice paddies.
I can't even describe how perfect our room was, and the staff were so amazing!
We will definitely stay there again!

Swimming at the resort.

We spent one humid morning at the Monkey Sanctuary watching the monkeys,
and hiking around the gorgeous grounds.

Stopped for lunch on our way back to the dreamy resort.
We love Bintang!

This one's for all the grandma's out there...the colors of all the plants were so dreamy!

The breath-taking scenery on the walk back from lunch.

This was waiting for us on our bed when we returned...

The next morning we woke up and had our breakfast on our porch and then went to the spa at the resort,
It was a gift from my boss, and I can't even begin to describe how stunning the setting was,
and how amazing the massages were!
Everything was open and you could hear birds chirping while we got our tamarind rub.
There was even a waterfall right outside the window! So so dreamy...

Eventually we left Ubud and went back to Kuta.
This was the resort we stayed at there, super lovely too!

Contemplating if we should stay in Bali forever...

Margaritas on our last night in Bali.

Goodbye Kuta Beach! Until next time...

That's it that's all folks!
We truly had the most dreamy honeymoon, and can't WAIT to go back!
